GCC's Non-Corrugated Paper Box Market Report 2025 - Prices, Size, Forecast, and Companies

The GCC non-corrugated paper box market rose markedly to $X in 2024, growing by X% against the previous year. After four years of decline, overseas shipments of folding cartons, boxes and cases of non-corrugated paper or paperboard increased by X% to X tons in 2024. Overall, exports, however, showed a deep contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2024, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, non-corrugated paper box exports fell to $X in 2024. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a noticeable downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2024, the exports remained at a lower figure.

The shipments of the two major exporters of folding cartons, boxes and cases of non-corrugated paper or paperboard, namely Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, represented more than two-thirds of total export.

From 2012 to 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by the United Arab Emirates (with a CAGR of X%).

In value terms, the largest non-corrugated paper box supplying countries in GCC were Saudi Arabia ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X).

The export price in GCC stood at $X per ton in 2024, dropping by X% against the previous year. Export price indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2024: its price increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last twelve years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2024 figures, non-corrugated paper box export price increased by X% against 2021 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the export price increased by X% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2023, and then contracted in the following year.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major exporting countries. In 2024, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton), while Saudi Arabia totaled $X per ton.

Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2024, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2024, the United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) represented the key importers of folding cartons, boxes and cases of non-corrugated paper or paperboard in GCC, together achieving X% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Kuwait (X tons), committing a X% share of total imports. Bahrain (X tons), Qatar (X tons) and Oman (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2024, the biggest increases were recorded for Qatar (with a CAGR of X%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.

In value terms, the largest non-corrugated paper box importing markets in GCC were the United Arab Emirates ($X), Saudi Arabia ($X) and Kuwait ($X), together accounting for X% of total imports. Qatar, Bahrain and Oman lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

In terms of the main importing countries, Qatar, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($X per ton), while Bahrain ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
